to work or not to work on sabbath day

To Work Or Not To Work On Sabbath Day

Exodus 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exodus 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Explanatory Note:

God gave the ten commandments to Moses and Sabbath is specifically included in the ten commandments. God gave the statutes or the do’s and don’ts during the celebration of these Sabbaths which is not in the two stone tablets , the ten commandments , the Sabbath which is written in the ten commandments is the weekly holy day or the seventh day Sabbath celebrated once a week during the seventh day but always included in others Sabbaths.

God gave the Sabbaths to the Israel that became their national statute a combination of their religious laws and national identity in the forms of mosaic laws, that other religions thought that mosaic laws and the ten commandments are one.

God gave the ten commandments to Moses in Mount Sinai and that ten commandments is the moral laws simply because it was personally wrote by God using His fingers in the two stones tablets and after writing it He commanded Moses to make an arc of the covenant and put the ten commandments inside the arc of the covenant which is now located in heaven that was showed by John the Revelator in his vision. This ten commandments cannot be altered nor changed because only God can do that.

The Sabbaths that God gave to Moses written in the finger of Moses was specifically intended only for the Jews to be their statute and it can be changed only for some reasons that will jive to some circumstances of every individual differences. These Sabbaths cannot be practiced in other countries for other countries have their own laws which is very much different and contradicting to Israel. Some celebrate Sabbath on Sunday the first day and some celebrate it on the other day of the week they give a beautiful sound of theological explanation just to justify their wants to change the law of God they really don’t understand the difference between the seventh day Sabbath of the ten commandments and the Sabbaths for Israel . To celebrate these Sabbaths you need to go to Israel and dance with them.

Jesus Christ said , “ the Sabbath was made for man and not the man for the Sabbath, and so, the Son of man is the Lord of the Sabbath also the Sabbath”. The Christian laws in other countries will not accept the seventh day Sabbath as holyday maybe the other day but the seventh day Sabbath of God will remain seventh day Sabbath in heaven in the new earth and new heaven . The Sabbath cannot control you it is you who manage the use of Sabbath in worshipping God, exercise the practice of wisely sinless on Sabbath day. The God of Sabbath is very much busy working on Sabbath day by watching you worshipping Him while working. It is the life of the family which is more important and secondly the need of the church and of the country. Following God’s laws is an essential thing to be always practiced, but remember , during the time of Christ , someone ask Him on how to have eternal life and He replied , you follow God’s laws, and the man replied I know all God’s laws and practiced them all, then Jesus Christ said, sell everything you have then give to the poor and follow me, but the man departed Him because he cannot do the advice of Christ, and one more thing about the Sabbath which is a part of the Ten commandments of God, these was the statement of Jesus regarding Sabbath, “ ‘Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days. ‘ ‘, Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill?’ ”.
